Institute of Science and Technology (IST) Scholarships for PhD Program 2019, Austria (Fully Funded)

The goal of the ISTScholar PhD program is to produce intellectually broad, curious, open-minded scientists who are able to approach problems from different angles and can collaborate with diverse types of scientists. To this end, our students complete an innovative interdisciplinary training program consisting of both research and taught elements, and receive close mentoring by world-class faculty from different disciplines. All students whose broad research interests align with those of our faculty are eligible to join the ISTScholar PhD program. Selection of the thesis supervisor occurs at the end of the first year.

Benefit:

The recipient of IST Austria Scholarship 2019 gets full tuition fee along with travel expenses (first year).

Requirement:

• The applicants for IST Scholarships, 2019 should have a bachelor's or master's degree in physics, computer science, neuroscience, mathematics, biology, and related areas.
• The applicants for IST Scholarships, 2019 should submit the reference letters by January 15, 2019.
• The IST Scholarships, 2019 offers innovative training with special focus on interdisciplinarity, outstanding faculty's close mentoring, and access to first-rate facilities.
• The candidates should submit the applications by the specified deadline. 

Document Required:

• Statement of purpose
• University transcripts and diplomas of all degree programs and all years you have attended and/or are currently enrolled in (in English and in original language)
• Contact information of 3 referees

All documents have to be submitted in English and copies of university transcripts also in their original language.
