Live Nation Music Forward Scholarship at MI College of Contemporary Music



Musicians Institute offers many different types of scholarships to help students with tuition during their enrollment at MI. Refer to each scholarship application form for details. Scholarships are available for both Newly Enrolling and Currently Enrolled students.

Live Nation Music Forward Scholarship

1 .Tiffany Green Operator Scholarship
Established to support women pursuing a career in live entertainment. Fields of study may include but not limited to: live event operations, production, music engineering and/or other related fields.

Benefit:
AWARD AMOUNT: $10,000

Requirement:
  • Applicant must be a full-time Junior or Senior, minimum of 60 credits earned, enrolled at an accredited college or university at the time of award, Fall 2019
  • Applicant must be pursuing a career in live entertainment. Field of study may include but not limited to: live event operations, production, music engineering and/or other related fields
  • Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Live Nation employees and family members are eligible
  • This is a one-time award to be paid directly to a qualified educational institution
How to Apply:
  • Complete the Scholarship Application Form
  • Provide a student copy of their college transcript to confirm GPA
  • Provide proof of enrollment from the educational institution
  • Provide two (2) letters of recommendation from non-Live Nation affiliated industry professionals and/or
  • instructor(s)
  • Write an essay on the unique value women bring to the live entertainment industry workforce. The essay should
  • not exceed 500 words and should include the student’s long-term professional goals within the entertainment
  • industry.
  • In addition to the application essay, the scholarship recipient will be required to write a final impact essay at the
  • end of the school year updating Live Nation on how the funds supported their scholastic journey and progress towards their long-term careers goals. 

 2. Steven J. Finkel Service Excellence Scholarship
Established to support the ever-growing customer service expectations of fans, artists and employees within the live entertainment industry.
Benefit:
AWARD AMOUNT: $10,000

Requirement:
  • Applicant must be a full-time Junior or Senior, minimum of 60 credits earned, enrolled at an accredited college or university at the time of award, fall 2019
  • Applicant must be pursuing a career in live entertainment. Field of study may include but is not limited to: music business management, customer service, hospitality or related fields of study
  • Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Live Nation employees and family members are eligible
  • This is a one-time award to be paid directly to a qualified educational institution

How to Apply:

  • Complete the Scholarship Application Form
  • Provide a student copy of their college transcript to confirm GPA
  • Provide proof of enrollment from the educational institution
  • Provide two (2) letters of recommendation from non-Live Nation affiliated industry professionals and/or
  • instructor(s)
  • Write an essay proposing innovative customer service ideas for the live entertainment business. The essay
  • should not exceed 500 words and should include the student’s long-term professional goals within the
  • entertainment industry.
  • In addition to the application essay, the scholarship recipient will be required to write a final impact essay at the
  • end of the school year updating Live Nation on how the funds supported their scholastic journey and progress towards their long-term careers goals. 

3. Live Nation – US Concerts Scholarship
Supports students pursuing careers in the five core areas of the Live Nation business: concert and venue promotion; sponsorship and advertising; ticketing; e-commerce; and artist management.
Benefit:
AWARD AMOUNT: $10,000

Requirement:

  • Applicant must be a full-time Junior or Senior, minimum of 60 credits earned, enrolled at an accredited college or university at the time of award, Fall 2019
  • Applicant must be pursuing a career that corresponds with a Live Nation area of business as listed above
  • Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Live Nation employees and family members are eligible
  • This is a one-time award to be paid directly to a qualified educational institution

How to Apply:

  • Complete the Scholarship Application Form
  • Provide a student copy of their college transcript to confirm GPA
  • Provide proof of enrollment from the educational institution
  • Provide two (2) letters of recommendation from non-Live Nation affiliated industry professionals and/or
  • instructor(s)
  • Write an essay on the role of music in your life and how it has inspired you to pursue a career in the music
  • industry. The essay should not exceed 500 words and should include the student’s long-term professional goals
  • within the entertainment industry.
  • In addition to the application essay, the scholarship recipient will be required to write a final impact essay at the
  • end of the school year updating Live Nation on how the funds supported their scholastic journey and progress towards their long-term careers goals.
