[Bachelor and Master Degree] The University of Nottingham Ningbo China International Scholarship 2019 (Full and Partial Tuition Fee)

We offer various scholarships for international students which aim to reward excellence and promote diversity among our student body. Based on our data, nearly 30% of our undergraduate students and over 40% of our postgraduate students were awarded scholarships for their entry. Once enrolled, current students are eligible for additional merit and/or performance-based scholarships and awards which covers approximately 32.5% of our whole student body.

Undergraduate

Benefit:
  • Nottingham Global Full scholarship is worth RMB 90,000 per student, equivalent of 100% toward first year of undergraduate tuition fee respectively. (Full)
  • Nottingham Global Half scholarships is worth RMB 45,000 per student, equivalent of 50% toward first year of undergraduate tuition fee respectively. (Half)
  •  Nottingham Global A Quarter Scholarship is worth RMB 22,500 per student, equivalent of 25% toward first year of undergraduate tuition fee respectively. (Quarter)
  • This scholarship is an entrance scholarship only. The fees will be waived from students’ first years’ tuition fee or will be refunded to students if full tuition fee is paid.

Requirement:
  • Be an overseas, Hong Kong or Macau applicant who have submitted the application.
  • Merit-based selection based on outstanding academic achievement having achieved at minimum requirements of:
    •  AAA in A-level; IB 36 points or equivalent for Qualifying year entry; or AAAAA in iGCSE or equivalent for Primary year entry, as determined at the time of admission. (Full)
    • AAB in A-level; IB 34 points or equivalent for Qualifying year entry; or AAAAB in iGCSE or equivalent for Primary year entry, as determined at the time of admission. (Half)
    • ABB in A-level; IB 32 points or equivalent for Qualifying year entry; or AAABB in iGCSE or equivalent for Primary year entry, as determined at the time of admission. (Quarter)

How to Apply
Separated application for Nottingham Global Scholarship is required. In order to complete the Nottingham Global Scholarship application, a filled scholarship application form is required to submit to international_admissions@nottingham.edu.cn by the designated deadline. In addition, due to the nature of competition, applicants will be automatically considered to the next eligible scholarships available should he/she misses the first round of selection until the quota is filled.

Postgraduate

Benefit:

    • UK first class (70) or equivalent, as determined at the time of admission. 
    • UK upper-second class (65) or equivalent, as determined at the time of admission.  
    • UK upper-second class (60) or equivalent, as determined at the time of admission.

Deadline:
There are three rounds of scholarship deadline. Please be noted that scholarships will be selected and awarded on a first-come-first served basis after each deadline, so the round of deadlines may be amended until the finds have been depleted.
  • 1st Round deadline: 23:59 CST, 20th January 2019
  • 2nd Round deadline: 23:59 CST, 15th March 2019
  • 3rd Round deadline: 23:59 CST, 15th May 2019

2. Ningbo Government Scholarships

Undergradute 

Benefit:
There are approximately 30 undergraduate scholarships towards the first year’s tuition fee . The amounts available are as follows:
  • 20,000RMB for full time undergraduate students

Requirement:
  • Students who would like to apply for this scholarship will need to prepare the following documents and submit to the Admissions and Career Development Office by 31st May 2019:
  • Course application form and documents
  • Scholarship Application form
  • Personal statement (500 words)
    Students may go a maximum of 10% under, or over the word count. Students may choose to use the personal statement from their main course application, or submit a second statement.
We encourage qualified applicants from all countries to apply for this scholarship.

Postgraduate

Benefit:
This scholarship is awarded to approximately twelve academically talented applicants who each receive a tuition fee scholarship of 30,000 RMB.

Requirement:
  • Students who would like to apply for this scholarship should hold, or be on course to achieve a 2:1 They will need to prepare the following documents and submit to the Admissions and Career Development Office by 31st May 2019:
  • Application form
  • A personal statement of 500 words.
    Students may go a maximum of 10% under, or over the word count. Students may choose to use the personal statement from their main course application, or submit a second statement.
