Eid Frivilligsentral,Volunteering Program in Norway (Fully Funded)

Eid Frivilligsentral, Voluntary Service in the municipality of Eid, allows volunteers to create their EVS according to their interests in the rural town Nordfjordeid. Further, Duration 12 months. Further, In cooperation with Eid upper secondary school and Norway’s second opera house Operahuset Nordfjord, volunteers can participate in a wide range of activities in the community of Eid such as – Social events for students – Everything relating to the opera (public service, work backstage, light/sound, scenography) – Cultural events & integration issues – Work at special events such as Malakoff Rockfestival, openings, other festivals, social gatherings – Sports/outdoor activities – Social volunteer work – Marketing volunteer work. Additionally, Volunteers will work with people of all ages, with a diverse cultural background. Further, Learning new skills, getting in contact with locals and being introduced to the culture is guaranteed while passing a wonderful time in the beautiful landscape of Norway’s west coast.

Benefit

The volunteer will have a private room in a living community 10 minutes (walking distance) from the center of Nordfjordeid, also, shared with other volunteers.
The project will cover all travel costs in connection with activities and training in the project. As well as travel costs to/ from the project.

Training during the project:

  • Pre-departure and evaluation training will be covered by the sending organization in the volunteer’s home country.
  • In Norway, the volunteer will attend an on-arrival and mid-term training organized by the Norwegian National Agency for Erasmus+. Further, The project provides training Norwegian language course.
  • The volunteer can choose to take a Norwegian exam at the end of the project and get a diploma for this exam.

Requirement:

  • Eid Frivilligsentral is looking for open-minded, flexible, independent and inventive team workers with social skills.
  • Age between 18-30 years.
  • Motivated and interested in voluntary work in the field of creativity and culture, integration of refugees and health and well-being.
  • The volunteer should be willing to learn Norwegian, take responsibility and be able to cope with a rough climate.
  • Police record must be clean
