[All Degree] New Zealand Scholarship Programme - (MFAT) 2020, New Zealand (Fully Funded)

The New Zealand Government offers New Zealand Scholarships to eligible citizens of developing countries. We offer full scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate academic study in New Zealand and in the Pacific. We also offer short term training scholarships for eligible workers to gain work skills, English skills and work experience.

On official website, you can find out who is eligible to apply, and about the scholarship application and selection process. This website also describes what subjects you can study at which approved education institutions and universities in New Zealand and in the Pacific.

Between the application opening and closing dates, applicants can access the relevant scholarship application form.

International tertiary scholars can also learn what financial support they will get from a full scholarship and about the conditions of their academic scholarship. They can find links to the student visa application and how to apply for admission to an approved education institution or university.

Financial support for scholars
With a full New Zealand Scholarship, scholars receive:

full tuition fees
living allowance (a stipend) of NZ$491 per week. This will help with a scholar’s basic living expenses, but it is not enough to cover the living costs of any family members.
an establishment allowance of NZ$3000. This is to help with set-up costs in New Zealand. For example, you can use it for accommodation expenses, text books, or other study materials.
medical insurance when you are in New Zealand
travel to and from your own country. This is for travel from your own country at the start of the scholarship, and for return travel at the end of your scholarship.

travel home during your scholarship (We allow for one or two trips home, depending on the length of your scholarship.)
help with research and thesis costs for many postgraduate students.

Thing To Do Before Applying:
1. To apply for an international New Zealand Scholarship, you must meet all of the eligibility criteria. You can complete the online questionnaire below to confirm whether you can apply.

2. New Zealand Scholarships are available to citizens from eligible countries. If your country is not on the list, then the New Zealand Government does not offer any academic scholarships to you.

4. Research which courses to study. Scholars can study abroad in New Zealand at one of eight universities or three institutes of technology. Citizens from eligible Pacific countries can also choose from four Pacific universities

How to Apply:

Before you start your application, you need to complete an online eligibility checklist (Requirement no. 1). When you successfully complete the eligibility checklist you will be given an eligibility code. You will need your eligibility code in order to start your application form – so please make a note of it at the end of your eligibility checklist.
To apply for a Scholarship online you will need a RealMe login. You will use this login any time that you want to access your online Scholarship application, and can also use the same login for other New Zealand Government services – including applying for a Student Visa through Immigration NZ – if you are successful in being awarded a Scholarship.

The first time that you login you will also need to register with NZ Scholarships online. To do this you will need to provide us with basic details such as your name, email address and the eligibility code from Step 1 above.
You will be taken directly to the Scholarships registration page once you have created your RealMe login.
If an intake is not currently open for applications, you can pre-register and receive an email alert when applications open.
Once logged in and registered you will be able to apply for any New Zealand Scholarship intake that is open for your country.
