[Bacehelor, Master, and PhD Degree] List Of Fully Funded Scholarships for Study in South Korea in 2021 for International Students

 


Korea has minimum tuition and living costs and international students do not need to pay higher fees. The government has shown great support and deregulations for foreign students in areas like dormitory provisions, part-time jobs, and employment after graduation and scholarships.

Most international students who study in Korean universities take courses offered in English. English language courses are more at the graduate level. Overseas students who want to study in English or Korean languages must show a proof of language proficiency, it is important to check with individual schools for their required language exam scores.


 
1.  Global Korea Scholarship Undergraduate Degrees (Embassies and University Track) 2021
 
 

The Korean Government Scholarship Program for undergraduate degrees is designed to provide international students with opportunities to study at higher educational institutions in Korea for Bachelor-level degrees, which in turn will contribute to promoting the international exchange in education and to deepening the mutual friendship among countries.

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea is pleased to announce that 2021 Global Korea Scholarship Program for Undergraduate Degrees  is now open for application. Please read the attached guideline thoroughly and submit the required documents correctly.

2. KAIST International Student Scholarship 2021

 
In 2007 KAIST adopted dual degree programs with leading world universities to offer its students diverse educational opportunities and strengthen academic exchanges. Its partner institutions include the Technical University of Denmark, Carnegie Mellon University, the Georgia Institute of Technology, Technical University of Berlin, and the Technische Universität München.

3.  Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DIGST) Graduate Scholarship 2021
 
 
Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST) is a public science and engineering university located in Daegu Metropolitan City, Republic of Korea. Under a Special Act on Support of Scientists and Engineers for Strengthening National Science and Technology Competitiveness, the Korean government enacted Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology Act (Act No. 6996) and founded DGIST in 2004 as a research institute. In 2008, the act was amended to extend the role of the institute to both research and education, which eventually enabled a transition from a research institute to a university.

 4. Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) - Korean Government and UNIST Scholarship 2021

 

Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology, simply referred to as UNIST, is one of the four public universities in South Korea which are dedicated to research in science and technology, along with KAIST, GIST, and DGIST. UNIST was founded in 2007 in response to growing demand for higher education in the Korean industrial capital of Ulsan, where world-renowned automotive (Hyundai Motor), shipbuilding (Hyundai Heavy Industries), petrochemical (SK Energy), and secondary cells industries are clustered. At the time of its foundation, UNIST was known for being the first national university in South Korea to be incorporated and thus administered by an independent board of trustees despite being funded by the central government.

6.  Higher Education for ASEAN Talents (HEAT) Scholarship Opportunity 2020



The Korean Council for University Education (KCUE) in collaboration with the ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Fund (AKCF) launched the Higher Education for ASEAN Talents (HEAT), a full scholarship opportunity for ASEAN faculty members to support acquisition of a doctoral degree in Republic of Korea with the aim to enhance their expertise and promote people-to-people exchanges between Korea and ASEAN universities.

7. Seoul National University – Students Exchange Program for Spring 2021
 
 

The Exchange Student Program is for students from SNU’s partner universities who wish to study at SNU for one or two semesters and transfer credits to their home institution. Since the first student exchange agreement with the University of Tokyo in 1995, SNU has signed more than 240 student exchange agreements (university-wide) with institutions all around the world.
 
To be an exchange student, candidates must be officially nominated by their home institution and pay the tuition fee to their home institution (Scholarship Available), not to SNU. On-campus housing is provided and partial support for fees for taking Korean language courses will be offered. Korea University is a private research university in Seoul, South Korea.Established in 1905, Korea University is one of the nation's oldest and most prominent institutions of higher education.
