Eligibility Criteria

Open to All Nationalities Applicants from any country—including both international and Chinese citizens—are welcome to apply.
Educational Background You must have completed a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent professional degree in any academic field by August 2026. Students from all disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Two Essays (750 Words Combined) Applicants must submit two essays:

Statement of Purpose (500 Words) Clearly explain your academic and professional goals, why you are applying to Schwarzman Scholars, and how the program aligns with your career aspirations.
Letters of Recommendation (3 Required) Three professional or academic referees should submit letters highlighting your leadership potential, academic strengths, and personal character.
Online Application Form Complete the official Schwarzman Scholars online application accurately, including personal details, education history, and extracurricular involvement.
Resume/Curriculum Vitae (Maximum 2 Pages) Provide a well-organized resume that outlines your academic qualifications, leadership experiences, internships, jobs, volunteer work, and other relevant achievements.
Academic Transcripts Official transcripts from all degree-granting institutions are required. If transcripts are not in English, a certified translation must be provided.
Video Introduction (Optional but Strongly Recommended) Submit a short video (1 minute max) introducing yourself to the selection committee. This is a chance to show personality and communication skills.
