The University of East Anglia (UEA) is a publicresearch university in Norwich, England. Established in 1963 on a 320 acres (130 hectares) campus west of the city centre, the university has four faculties and 26 schools of study. The annual income of the institution for 2016–17 was £273.7 million of which £35.6 million was from research grants and contracts, with an expenditure of £262.6 million.
These scholarships are designed to reward applicants who have been offered a place to study with UEA and who can clearly and concisely explain how studying here at UEA will help them to make an outstanding contribution to their chosen field of study as well as the wider UEA community.
Benefit:
All applicants* to the scholarship will receive a minimum of a £2,000 first year tuition fee discount, whilst a large number of successful applicants will be upgraded to fee discounts of £4,000, £6,000 or £10,000 per year of study.

Requirement:
- When applying for this scholarship, you must already be in possession of a conditional or unconditional offer for the first year of an undergraduate degree course starting at UEA in September 2019. Your offer should state that you are an international fee-paying student.
- To be classified as an international fee-paying student you typically need to be a non-EU resident. Our fees and funding page has more details of who will pay international tuition fees. If you are still in doubt, then please email our planning office who can advise you further.
- You will also need to be independently funding your studies, which means that you can’t apply if an organisation is sponsoring your study and paying your tuition fees for you. However, if you will be in receipt of a government loan, you can still apply for this scholarship.
- Please note, that offer holders for courses in the Faculty of Medicine and Health are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
- Students who are currently studying a Foundation course in the UK are not eligible to apply for this scholarship but can apply for UEA’s International Foundation Scholarships. Scroll down for more information.
