“Brunei, to the global eyes, is known for its abundant wealth and welfare, and there is a misconception that Brunei is free from poverty or social issues. As a result of generations and generations of complacent youths, without realising, Brunei had suddenly enter into a critical time where youth unemployment is reaching its all time high. Realising this, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s on his 69th Birthday Celebration this year (UBD, 2016) : “It is clear, what is crucial here is, Brunei must immediately make a 1 shift in mindset: from preferring to wait and sit idly to working hard; from being reliant to showing more initiative, and from being less independent to being more independent. This is our source of strength. ” and PB19 plans to respond to this call.
