The ARES Scholarship 2026 in
Belgium offers a fully funded opportunity for international
candidates from selected developing countries to pursue their studies in
Belgium. The program provides support for Specialized Bachelor’s, Master’s, and
short training courses, organized by the Agency for Development Cooperation and
Humanitarian Aid (ARES) with funding from the Belgian government through the Wallonia-Brussels
Federation.
This scholarship targets
applicants from 31 eligible developing countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin
America—such as Benin, Bolivia, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Haiti, Morocco, the
Philippines, Rwanda, Vietnam, and many others. It aims to empower motivated
professionals with relevant experience to strengthen their expertise in critical
fields, including public health, development economics, human rights,
integrated risk management, and other key areas that contribute to sustainable
development.

Program Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality & Residency: Applicants must
be citizens, residing, and working in one of the 31 countries eligible

- Educational Background: Candidates should hold
a recognized diploma or degree from a higher education institution.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of two
years of relevant work experience within an eligible ARES partner country
is required.

- Educational Certificates: Certified copies of

qualifications, and suitability for the program.
