European Commission #Youth4Regions Programme 2019, Belgium (Fully Funded)

Are you studying journalism or are you a young journalist? Are you between 18-30 and a citizen of an EU Member State or an EU neighboring country? Would you like to gain first-hand work experience as a journalist in the capital of Europe? Then this programme is for you! The European Commission is looking for participants for the third edition of Youth4Regions – the programme for aspiring journalists. Furthermore, they encourage journalism students and young journalists to learn about Regional Policy and to communicate on concrete projects. The specific
objectives include:
  • Providing the framework and conditions for young and also, future journalists to specialize in Regional Policy
  • Fostering young journalistic productions to promote knowledge of EU-funded projects (ERDF and CF)
  • Promoting innovative means of covering the European Week of Regions and Cities
  • Enhancing the links between European institutions and young Europeans

Requirement:
  • Applicants should have an interest in what EU regional policy is doing in your region
  • Also, have a background in journalism (studies or experience)
  • Eligible candidates are EU or neighboring country citizen aged from 18 to 30 years old
  • Availability during 6 – 11 October

If you are interested in our fully-funded EU training programme, we encourage you to apply by sending us:
  • a short original article (400-1000 words), or
  • a short video (2 – 3 minutes)
on a project that has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund or Cohesion Fund.
The short article or the short video you would like to send to us needs to be original and not published before.
