Research Grant Scholarship – Bank Indonesia Institute 2025

 

To support the development of the national research ecosystem, Bank Indonesia Institute is once again opening the Bantuan Penelitian (Banlit) program for 2025. Banlit is a financial assistance program from Bank Indonesia Institute for undergraduate (S1), master's (S2), and doctoral (S3) students who are working on their final thesis with topics related to the scope of central banking. The Banlit program will be open from February until October 31, 2025.

BENEFITS:

  • For undergraduate (S1) students: Rp10,000,000.00 (ten million rupiah)
  • For master's (S2) students: Rp15,000,000.00 (fifteen million rupiah)
  • For doctoral (S3) students: Rp20,000,000.00 (twenty million rupiah)
  • Amounts are inclusive of tax

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANT CRITERIA
General Criteria:

  • Indonesian Citizen (WNI).
  • Active undergraduate (S1), master's (S2), or doctoral (S3) student currently working on a thesis/dissertation.

The criteria used in assessing research grant proposals include the following:

  • The Banlit proposal topic is related to Economics and Central Banking (Monetary, Macroprudential, Real Sector, Payment Systems, and Financial System Stability), as well as Social research topics (Politics, Law, Institutional Studies)
  • Relevance of the research or final project topic to the research scope of Bank Indonesia
  • Benefits of the research for Bank Indonesia
  • Research framework
  • Contribution to scientific knowledge

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  • Student ID Card
  • Scholarship Application Form
  • Documents required by Bank Indonesia Institute:
    • Recommendation Letter signed by the Head of Department/Study Program or Faculty/Department Official
    • Approval Sheet signed by the Academic Supervisor and Faculty/Department Official (in a separate file from the proposal)
    • Proposal Endorsement Sheet (endorsed by the Academic Supervisor or Promoter, in a separate file from the proposal)
    • Legalized Academic Transcript with a minimum GPA of 3.25 out of 4.00
    • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
    • Scanned National Identity Card (KTP)
    • Scanned front page of a bank account book showing the account number
    • Scanned Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) (if available)
    • Final Project Proposal
