[Master and PhD Degree] Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) - Korean Government and UNIST Scholarship 2021, South Korea

Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology, simply referred to as UNIST, is one of the four public universities in South Korea which are dedicated to research in science and technology, along with KAIST, GIST, and DGIST. UNIST was founded in 2007 in response to growing demand for higher education in the Korean industrial capital of Ulsan, where world-renowned automotive (Hyundai Motor), shipbuilding (Hyundai Heavy Industries), petrochemical (SK Energy), and secondary cells industries are clustered. At the time of its foundation, UNIST was known for being the first national university in South Korea to be incorporated and thus administered by an independent board of trustees despite being funded by the central government.

Scholarship:

Scholarship funded by Korean government and UNIST

• Tuition fee waiver
• ALL graduate students will be admitted as Korean government OR UNIST scholarship students.
• Tuition fee waiver(KRW 7,680,000/year)
• Stipend
• Master: KRW 9,600,000/year
• Ph.D: KRW 13,200,000/year

* The above is based on the minimum amount and the additional amount can be provided differently according to the participating Lab.
※ Professional·Special graduate school, School of Business administration students, students who are enrolled exceeding the class period, Students supported by the company, Fellowship recipient such as GPF are no included.

• Students pursuing Ph.D degree are eligible for technical research personnel recruitment.
• * The number of technical research personnel for Korean will be decided by Military Manpower
• Administration.
• Dormitory on campus is available for graduate students.

• Tuition fee shall be remitted.(KRW 7,680,000/year)
• Dormitory on campus is available for graduate students.
• ※ Scholarships are subject to change and will be given under UNIST regulations.
