[Bachelor Degree] Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food 2019 Scholarship Programme, Taiwan (Fully Funded)

Indonesian Senior High School graduates now have the opportunity to receive college scholarships in Hualien, Taiwan, through Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food’s new International Scholarship Programme in collaboration with the Tzu Chi University of Science & Technology (TCUST). By joining this programme, students have chance to gain knowledge in Taiwan and implement it when they return to Indonesia.

Scholarship participants will be enrolled at TCUST to attain a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. During the 4-year programme, they will be equipped with skills in online marketing and offline distribution management expertise in the agribusiness industry. Graduates of this programme are expected to be able to practice agribusiness independently, starting from nursery, treatment, harvesting, to marketing and product distribution to consumers.

About Tzu Chi University of Science and Technology
Tzu Chi University of Science and Technology was established by the Tzu Chi Buddhist Compassion Relief Foundation in 1989 under the guidance of Dharma Master Cheng Yen. The foundation promotes four major missions：Charity, Medical Care, Education, and Humanity. The college currently admits graduates from junior high and senior high schools with no religious restrictions.

Requirement:
  • Indonesian citizens
  • Senior High School Graduate
  • Basic skills in English. Mandarin basic skills are preferable
  • Keen interest in the agribusiness industry and/or marketing

  • You have to fill in a scholarship registration form on www.smart-tbk.com/scholarship-registration. Don’t forget to prepare an essay in English or Mandarin.
    • Write an essay (400-500 words) in English/Mandarin (choose one topic below) :
      • What ways do you think you can make a contribution to Indonesia through agriculture?
      • Describe the challenges the Indonesian agriculture sector faces and how you might contribute to overcoming or solving them?
